In a recent article on the La Sal Mountain Loop Road, Bicycling.com featured a photo by Moab local photographer Nick Badovinac and a paragraph describing the Gran Fondo Moab. The Gran Fondo Moab uses this road as its official course, and it is a hugely popular road cycling choice for riders from all over when visiting Moab. Also featured were two other prominent Moab road cycling events that use the Loop Road as well, the Moab Century Tour, and the Skinny Tire Festival.
